Opportunity

We often hear the phrase "opportunity knocks." How convenient it would be if that were the way it happened all the time! More often than not, our opportunities have been cultivated. We seek them out, rather than waiting for them to come calling on us. We prepare ourselves so that we can both create, and recognize, opportunities.


Impulsive?

Is this impulsive? Maybe. But it is also intuitive. Life tends to move really quickly - so when we recognize an opportunity that we've been waiting for, why overthink it? At a certain point, we've just got to say "I'm ready" and go for it!


Get It

Go for it. Just do it. May hay while the sun shines. Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Carpe Diem. Our opportunities are out there and the universe is urging us to scoop them up enthusiastically - we hear it time and time again!


Irons In The Fire

While we're out there creating opportunities for ourselves, we may find that we're juggling multiple projects, hoping that some will catch on and make it big. Irons in the Fire - some will burn, and yet some must cool. Why? Because we can't possibly pay attention to all of them. More "Irons" does not necessarily give us a better chance of success. We have a limited quantity of time - so when we have to spread it among several Irons, then the quality of time is reduced. It only makes sense that the Irons that are given both quantity and quality of Fire will burn the brightest.

It is interesting that opportunity is often associated with a door - but a closed door doesn't get us anywhere. It is through an open door that we must walk to get somewhere. What is on the other side of the door? Unlimited possibilities! But we'll never know what they are until we get up and open that door to see for ourselves!
